Christine Birnie and Alf King just finished the massive undertaking of renovating the old Creamery heritage building and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Telkwa has a ton of history and they felt was important to preserve as much of it as possible. “I wanted to create something beautiful out of the old Creamery while giving it new life,” states Christine.
Alf and Christine have been vested in the community for many years. The pair is proud to have transformed the space and love that they have contributed towards Telkwa’s evolving economic development.
Alf and Christine’s efforts have created a positive buzz, fostering much excitement for the future of their little town. Telkwa’s residents are wholeheartedly vested in their community, and according to Christine, “this translates into a friendly and open environment.” Everyone looks out for one another, whether they are already acquainted or not.
